Ultimate chocolate sauce

Quick and easy chocolate sauce for those long days where you need something quick to slather over a slice of cake. It’s cheaper than normal because it doesn’t use cream or butter - take that cost of living crisis!

100g dark chocolate, roughly chopped

50g caster or granulated sugar

1/2 tsp fine sea salt

2 tbsp golden syrup

200ml milk or plant based milk

1 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder

1 Add all the ingredients into a saucepan over a medium heat, whisking until everything had fully melted. Simmer for 4 mins, whisking until you have a smooth thick glossy sauce.
